Executive Board Changes at KWS SAAT AG
(Einbeck ho,15/04 No. 6/05) Philip von dem Bussche, himself an active farmer and President of the German Agricultural Society (DLG), will join the Executive Board of
KWS SAAT AG on October 1, 2005. Following the retirement of Christopher Ahrens, he will assume responsibility for the sugar beet segment, the new markets/products unit and the regions Germany, Central and Eastern Europe.
Holding a Masters degree in Economics, he has managed his family farm near Osnabrück since 1975, which he plans to hand over to the next generation of his family. He has been President of the DLG since 1997 and will remain so until his term of office ends in January 2006. He has been associated with KWS since May 2000 as a member of the Supervisory Board, a post he will resign when he assumes his position on the Executive Board.
“Philip von dem Bussche is a valuable addition to our Executive Board, a proven agricultural expert with many years of experience. His special interest is in the prospects of German and European agriculture in the international arena – a core concern of KWS,” says Andreas J. Büchting, Chairman of the Executive Board.
Philip von dem Bussche comments, “I am looking forward to my new task. I highly regard KWS as an excellently run medium-sized company that is firmly rooted in Germany and plays a leading international role in the seed market.”
The Supervisory Board of KWS SAAT AG has also appointed the Chief Financial Officer Hagen Duenbostel, formerly deputy member of the Executive Board, as a full member of the Executive Board effective July 1, 2005.
