KWS Kielder

Dam fine yields

  • High yield potential on fertile sites
  • Very stiff straw
  • Long grain-fill period
  • Orange Wheat Blossom Midge resistant

KWS Kielder has outstanding yield potential. It is best grown as a first wheat on medium to heavy land, where it responds to high inputs and delivers exceptional yields over a long grain-fill period.

KWS Kielder has a prostrate growth habit in the winter and should be sown in mainstream drilling slots.

It is one of the shortest and stiffest wheats, so can be pushed on fertile sites. It responds to a robust fungicide programme and yellow rust and Septoria tritici should be the focus of attention.
