Variables include expected yield, Midge control costs if required, premium levels and chances of some or all of the crops achieving the premium chosen.
Examine the levels of premium required for export or home markets - Viscount is potentially the highest margin variety.
The Gross Output figures in £/ha do not include variable costs, apart from the option of Midge control, which are assumed to be broadly similar for the range of varieties chosen.
