KWS UK provides its merchant customers and farmers with the back up needed to get the best from its varieties. This includes supporting literature, data and trials.
For example, working with leading industry researchers, agronomists, pathologists and variety testing organisations.
The company is an active member of the British Society of Plant Breeders and recognises the need for rigorous independent testing of varieties, through the HGCA Recommended List.
We have established strong links throughout the food supply chain and work closely with grain merchants and end-users – including the baker and supermarket buyer - to assess and meet their needs. As a result of this type of activity, we have recently introduced the specialist white wheat Zircon to supply flour for specialist milling grists (See right hand column).
This ensures that end-user food or fuel technologists have samples as soon as possible as they progress through the trials system in order to gain information on a variety’s performance.
