Rewarding Yields – Silage or Grain

Konsensus provides growers with an excellent addition to any ration and can be harvested for silage or grain maize.

Offering one of the highest metabolisable energy (ME) values at 11.4 MJ/Kg with balanced starch content of 31.6% Konsensus is ideal for rations involving a high proportion of maize silage.

With its enormous yield of 21 t/ha, Konsensus delivers a substantial energy output in excess of 230,000 MJ for every ha grown.


Maturity:
  • Forecasted NIAB Group 6 (favourable sites)

Characteristics:

  • Enormous yield potential (2009; 21.1 t/ha DM)
  • Out performs existing mainstream varieties such as NK Bull and Nescio
  • Early starch laydown, ahead of other varieties of similar maturity
  • Impressive hybrid with large, well filled cobs
  • Ideal high yielding crimping maize

Quality:

  • Balanced starch content with leading ME yields
  • Good stay green – for high whole plant digestibility (over 71%)
