Buzz is bred by Momont
Buzz is an exciting, new, short, stiff strawed conventional variety that’s easy to manage, providing some very high yields.
A couple of centimetres shorter than Castille and just 10cm taller than the semi-dwarf DK Secure, Buzz is a typical low biomass type.
In trials to date, Buzz has provided gross outputs that are 5% higher than Castille and on a par with fellow conventional variety, Vision.
In terms of disease resistance, Buzz has a 7 rating for stem canker – one point better than Vision but with a 1 point lower score for LLS.
Buzz has similar flowering and maturity ratings to that of Castille.
