Get the Krypton Factor
Krypton is an open pollinating variety bred by KWS
With outstanding yields, one of the highest oils and exceptional standing power, you'll want to make Krypton part of your plans for next autumn.
Quite simply, Krypton has the ideal combination of characteristics required for top performance, producing a gross output well ahead of controls in the East & West region.
This exceptional gross output is as a result of Krypton's high seed yield and superb unbeatable oil content.
In the East & West Region, Krypton has a mean oil content of 46.2% and is only just pipped for top slot by Lioness, which it out-yields by 4%.
Agronomic All-Rounder
Agronomically, Krypton is a real competitor whether it is on difficult, exposed northern sites, or the fertile clays or shallow chalks of Eastern and Southern England.
Krypton has the standing power of a semi-dwarf, but without the yield penalty usually associated with these types.
With an 8 and 9 rating respectively for resistance to lodging and stem stiffness, Krypton stands as it delivers. While it is slightly taller than Castille, Krypton is easily combined as a standing crop.
Coupled with its very good light leaf spot resistance and a 5 for stem canker, Krypton will perform well in all conditions.
Offering later maturity to spread the harvest, Krypton has a good pod-fill period, helping it pile on the yield.
